Funeral Services For Mrs. J. L. Banks
     Mrs. Katherine Gordy Banks died at her residence early Tuesday morning 
after an illness of several months.  Mrs. Banks was the wife of James Louis 
Banks.
     She was a lifelong resident of Barnesville, was a member of the First 
Methodist Church.
     In addition to her husband she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles 
C. Morgan, Jr., of Barnesville; one son, Peter L. Banks of Atlanta; her 
mother, Mrs. P. W. Gordy of Barnesville and four grandchildren.
     Funeral services for Mrs. Banks were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 
o'clock from the First Methodist Church, the Rev. James Griffin, the Rev. Jack 
Mummert, and the Rev. Howard Ethington officated and burial was in the Zebulon 
Street Cemetery in Barnesville.
     Haisten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
     The NEWS joins friends of the family in extending deepest sympathy to 
them in their sorrow.
