The Barnesville Patriot, Barnesville, Georgia, Wednesday, April 22, 1874
John Collier died in Monroe county last Thursday night, aged fifty-five years. 
He was one of the most prominent, and highly respected citizens of that 
county. Disease, apoplexy. He leaves a wife and a large circle of relatives 
and friends to mourn his loss to society and country at large. [Transcribed
