MATTIE ELLIOTT DIES AT HOME HERE Mrs. Mattie J. Elliott, 84, died at the residence on Library St. here Tuesday morning after an illness of several months. Miss Elliott was a native of Pike County and lived her childhood years in Culloden. She moved to Barnesville while still young and has lived here since that time. For years she operated a ladies ready-to-wear store on Main Street here. A member of the First Baptist Church, Miss Elliott retired from all activities a number of years ago. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at Haisten Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard Ethington officiating. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. Survivors include three sisters: Mrs. Lula Graham and Mrs. Geo. W. Pippin, both of Barnesville, and Mrs. J. P. Williams, Griffin; several nieces and nephews.
