Americus, Ga., May 23-
Dr. Emmett Jowers, a prominent physician of this section, died this morning at 
Channing, Tex., while en route to New Mexico in search of health.  Dr. Jowers 
graduated with distinction from Tulane university, New Orleans, and was highly 
esteemed.  His sister, Mrs. King Stillman, of Atlanta, has gone to Texas to 
bring his remains to Georgia for interment at the family home in Wheeler county.
