MADDOX BARNESVILLE, Ga., Dec. 4 - Edward Franklin Maddox, 69, died at a private hospital in Atlanta Wednesday following a long illness. Mr. Maddox was a native of Stewart county, but had lived in Barnesville a number of years. He was married 45 years ago to Mrs. Josephine Sullivan. Mr. Maddox was a member of the firm of Summers Warehouse. He belonged to the Masons and the Woodmen of the World. Mr. Maddox is survived by his widow: two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Bland and Mrs. W. A. Prout, Barnesville; son, S. G. Maddox, Blakely, Ga.; step-son, W. A. Sullivan, Barnesville; two sisters, Mrs. A. J. Kahole, Yatesville, Ga.; Mrs. Mary Ross, Oklahoma, and 18 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Ramah church in Lamar county Thursday _________. R. H. Barwick, of Cordele, will officiate.
