Funeral Services For Miss Maddox
     Miss Kate Maddox, 73, of Barnesville, died Saturday afternoon at the 
Monroe County Hospital after an extended illness.
     She was born in Monroe County but had made her home in Lamar County for a 
number of years.
     Miss Maddox was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in Monroe County.
     Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Lucille Tingle, Ft. Meade, Fla.; a 
niece, Mrs. Myrtice Wood, Mulberry, Fla., a great-niece, Mrs. Lee Corbin, 
Bartow, Fla.; a great-nephew, Luther Thomas Wood, Mulberry, Fla.; one aunt, 
Mrs. Fannie Keadle, Culloden, Ga., and several cousins.
     Funeral services were conducted Monday morning at 11 o'clock from the 
Ramah Primitive Baptist Church.  Elder Guy E. Smith officiated.  Burial was in 
the Ramah Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.
     Hubbard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
