Miss Cola joined Prospect Methodist Church in early childhood. Her membership remaining there throughout her life. Although later when she moved to the Atlanta area, she attended regularly the Mary Branon United Methodist church, and because of her services and contributions she was considered more as a member than a guest. Her last rites were held there. By profession, Miss Cola was a school teacher and taught in several areas of Georgia. She enjoyed her work and her keen sense of humor was evidenced by the twinkle in her eyes. Especially at the quaint, and odd way little children have of expressing themselves. Miss Cola was an artist. One of her most cherished painting [sic], War of the Old Home which later burned to the ground. The family still cherishes her work of art. Perhaps the most outstanding attribute was her calmness and serenity displayed through the years which was an inspiration to those who knew her and assurance "God is in his Heaven and all is right with the world", especially in these hectic days. Surely her strength to face life today must have sprung from a higher source. She lived with quietness and sweetness in life. She stepped away from this earthly abode into Eternal Life.
