A. Means Dead Mr. J. A. Means, a well known and valued and esteemed citizen of Atlanta, died at a private sanitarium there Saturday last, after a lingering illness. The funeral occurred Tuesday afternoon in Atlanta, Dr. C. O. Jones and Rev. Marvin Williams, prominent Methodist ministers, conducting the service. Mr. Means had many relatives in Lamar county and adjoining territory and his death will cause much sorrow among the people here who knew him. He had lived in Atlanta for a number of years. Mr. J. T. Means, a prominent citizen of Lamar county, is a brother, Mrs. Robert Hamlin of near Barnesville is a sister, and Mr. F. M. Means, well known to the people here, now of Americus, is another brother, and he had other brothers and sisters and many relatives. The people of Lamar county will sympathize with all these relatives in their sorrow.
