H. Owen Was Buried in Redbone Mr. Otis H. Owen, 83, of Thomaston died Sunday afternoon at the Upson County Hospital where he had been a patient since Thursday. Mr. Owen was a native of Lamar County and Barnesville. He had lived in Redbone District in Lamar for a long number of years, until his health failed and he had to retire and went to Thomaston to live with their daughter, Miss Frances Owen, several years ago. Mr. Owen was an active member of Prospect Methodist Church for many years, having served as chairman of the board of stewards for years. He was superintendent of the Sunday School there for years. Funeral services were conducted at Prospect Methodist Church Tuesday morning at 11:00 o'clock with the Rev. Samuel D. Lewis, pastor of the church, and the Rev. Roland Walker, pastor of the Methodist Church in Thomaston, officiating. Interment was in the Owen-Sappington and Bush Cemetery. The survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nora Cauthen Owen of Thomaston; three daughters, Miss Frances Owen of Thomaston, Mrs. W. H. Sanders of Homosassa, Fla., and Mrs. John Daly of Rhode Island; one son, Marion Owen of Vera Beach, Fla., four grandchildren, Shirley and Dottie Daly of Rhode Island, Billy Sanders of Homosassa, Fla., and Herman Owen of Vero Beach; sister, Mrs. F.
