On the third of August our precious boy, Fletcher, fifteen years old, was suddenly killed. He was hauling a load of wood when the team became frightened, ran and threw him from the wagon, both wheels passing over his head. Truly our sorrow is great, but we are resting in the precious scriptures, and the Blessed Holy Comforter is with us, and we bow in sweet submission to the will of God. Fletcher was a good boy, of a happy natural disposition, obedient to his father and mother, never giving them pain or trouble. He was gloriously converted at the Indian Springs Holiness Camp Meeting last year. Only three or four days before his death I was talking to him about his soul condition. He said he was still praying and holding onto Jesus. So we “mourn not as those who have no hope”. All praise to our God. We desire the prayers of every praying friend we have in Talbot County. W.P.
