Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, December 21, 1900 Col. Anderson Funeral Col. William W. Anderson, one of the oldest lawyers in Georgia, was buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Barnesville Friday morning. He died Wednesday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. E.W. Rose, of that city, where he has resided the past two years. He was born near Madison, Morgan county, Aug 24, 1820, making him over 80 years old at the time of his death. He was educated at Mercer when it was located at Penfield. Before his twentieth year he joined himself to the practice of law literally as a life work, having devoted about sixty years of his life to his profession. Col. Anderson was a unique character. Among the many characteristics of the man was a sense of humor, which perhaps was never more marked in any man than him.
