Mrs. N.A. Waller departed this life January 3, 1907, at the home of her son-in- law, J.A. Hall, near Barnesville. She had been afflicted for several years, but was confined to her bed only one week before the end came. During all these years she was tenderly cared for by her eldest and devoted daughter, Mrs. M.F. Key, who I believe, will wear a starry crown in glory for being so attentive to her aged mother in her declining years. But in the midst of all our grief we have the evidence to prompt us to believe that Grandma has been taken home to God to dwell with Him throughout a never ending eternity. No sorrow there in that bright home, no pain or disappointment there, but all is love, a dear home, indeed no home like it. She went to sleep to awake in glory, to join all the loved ones that had gone before. We will never more see her smiling face in this world or hear her voice singing hymns of praise to our dear Lord, but I firmly believe she is now singing praises around that beautiful throne, where there is no more pain, but where all is peace, joy and love. Grandma joined the Missionary Baptist church in early girlhood, and was a consistent member, always attending her church meetings when she was able to go. She lived to the ripe age of eighty-two years, and leaves seven children, Robert T. And Asa P. Waller, Mrs. M.F. Key, Mrs. J.A. Hall, Mrs. J.C. Wood, Mrs. B.F. Wilder and Mrs. John Bolton. All her children lived near enough to attend her funeral except one daughter who lives in far away Missouri. Her funeral was preached by Rev. John Buffington after which her remains were laid away at Bethel cemetery there to await the resurrection of the dead. Besides her children she leaves a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren and friend to mourn the loss of her. She was indeed a good woman. It is sad to think we will never see her again, but I trust that when our work on earth is done, and the last Messenger comes we will meet her on the golden streets of paradise. Dear Grandma thou hast left us, there thy loss we deeply feel. "But it’s God who hath bereft us. He can all our sorrows heal." Her granddaughter, Minnie B.
