J.E. Pound, who was killed by the Central railroad near Monticello last week, was buried at Milner Friday afternoon last. His death was an exceedingly sad one. He was a very popular citizen and preacher among the people of Jasper county where he had been laboring for a number of years. His body was accompanied to Milner by about fifteen prominent citizens of Jasper who were familiar with the life and work of the beloved preacher.
