Final Rites for Mrs. G. W. Pippin
     Mrs. Eliza Elliott Pippin, 92, who has lived in Redbone most of her life, 
died in Atlanta early Friday morning, enroute to a hospital.  Mrs. Pippin was 
the widow of the late Mr. George Washington Pippin.
     For the past few years, Mrs. Pippin had stayed in the homes of her 
children.  At the time of her death, she was visiting in the home of a 
daughter, Mrs. Roy Owen, in Atlanta.  Her death came unexpectedly as she had 
felt unusually good for her that day.
     Mrs. Pippin was another one of Redbone's beloved residents who has passed 
on.  She was loved by all who knew her.  She was born and reared in Pike 
County, but had lived in the Pippin home in Redbone for 70 years.
     She was a member of Ramah Primitive Baptist Church and was quite active 
and attended services as long as she was able to go.
     In addition to Mrs. Owen, she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. J. L. 
Lambert of Atlanta; four sons, Clarence M. Pippin of Albany, George O. Pippin 
of Barnesville, Denard G. Pippin and H. Roscoe Pippin, both of Redbone; a 
sister, Mrs. J. T. Williams of Griffin; 12 grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren.
     Funeral services were held from Ramah Primitive Baptist Church Sunday 
afternoon at 3:00 o'clock.  Elder D. O. Payne, Thomaston, Elder P. O. Revels 
of Culloden and Elder Guy E. Smith, pastor of the church officiated.  Burial 
was in the church cemetery.
     Haisten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
     The Barnesville News-Gazette expresses sympathy to the bereaved family.
