Funeral Services For Mrs. J. F. Porch Sunday Afternoon
     Mrs. Nancy Owen Porch, wife of Mr. James Fournoy Porch of Greenwood St., 
died early Saturday morning after an illness of several years.
     She was a native of Redbone District, but had lived most of her life in 
Barnesville.
     Mrs. Porch was an active member of the First Baptist Church, attending 
regularly when her health would permit.  She was also an active member of the 
church organizations.  Everyone knew her as a loving unselfish wife, mother, 
friend and neighbor.
     Funeral services were conducted at 3:00 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the 
First Baptist Church.  The Rev. Howard Ethington, pastor of the church, and 
the Rev. Sam Nelson, pastor of Fredonia Church, officiated.  Burial was in 
Greenwood Cemetery.
     She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Calvin Bush and Mrs. 
Harold Matthews, both of Barnesville; two sons, Joe W. Porch of Johnson City, 
Tenn., and Benjamin N. Porch of Miama [sic], Fla.; a sister, Mrs. F. A. 
Goodrum of Griffin; two brothers, Mr. O. H. Owen, Thomaston and Mr. John N. 
Owen of Barnesville, and 14 grandchildren.
     Haisten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
     The News extends sympathy to the bereaved family.
