Torbert Funeral Service at Mt. Zion Church Wednesday The death of James R. Torbert, 62, of Piedmont district occurred Monday evening about 10 o'clock. The funeral was conducted Wednesday afternoon at Mt. Zion Baptist church with Rev. Clifford Bedsole officiating. Mr. Torbert attended church here Sunday and was in Barnesville Monday afternoon. He was stricken with paralysis about nightfall and died a few hours later. He is survived by his wife, who was Miss Ophelia Harris, of Roberta; a daughter, Mrs. Harvey Neal [Neill] of Fort Valley; four sons, Kemp, Herbert, Raymond [Rabon] and Homer Torbert, all of whom make their home here. There are also three brothers, Sam P. Torbert and Edward Torbert of Barnesville and John Torbert of Lizella; and three sisters, Mrs. Alice Evans of Barnesville; Mrs. Avie Smith of Del Ray; and Mrs. Eunice Wilson of Tex.
