He was a native of Pike County and was the son of the late Charles H. Walker and Ada Smith Walker. He had resided in Barnesville for many years. Mr. Walker was retired from the William Carter Company, wher ehe served as surperintendent and general manager and retired after 42 years of service. He was a former director of the First National Bank of Barnesville, a former member of the board of trustees of Gordon Military College and was a former member of the First United Methodist Church in Barnesville. Survivors include his wife, Lucy Mae Milner Walker of Barnesville; a daughter, Millie Walker Prescott of Raleigh, N. C.; a son, Charles Milner Walker of Sydney, Australia; three grandchildren, Rick Prescott of Raleigh, N. C., Elizabeth Prescott of Ashville [sic], N. C. and Alice Walker of Sydney, Australia. Funeral services were held Jan. 11 in the First United Methodist Church in Barnesville. The Rev. David Naglee officiated. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Haisten Funeral Home in Barnesville had charge of arrangements.
