Whitten Funeral services for Mrs. Mary B. Whitten, 360 Boulevard, S. E., were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Neighborhood Chapel Church of God. The Rev. Charles Richardson and the Rev. D. A. Sox officiated. Burial was in a cemetery at Lawrenceville. Mrs. Whitten died Tuesday at her home. She was 82. She was born near Barnesville, but had lived in Atlanta 25 years. She was the wife of the late W. H. Whitten. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. C. W. McDade, of Atlanta, and Mrs. P. G. Christopher, of Whigham, Ga.; two sons, H. W. Whitten, of Atlatna, and R. E. Whitten, of Macon; two sisters, Mrs. F. D. Wood, of Childton, Wis., and Mrs. W. A. Sullivan, of Barnesvile, Ga.; two brothers, E. H. Cain, of Winters, Texas, and John S. Cain, of Atlanta; 20 grandchildren and 15 great- grandchildren. Additional Comments: There is a note on the obituary clipping indicating that "B." stands for "Bradley" as her middle name.
