M. Ware Mr. William Michael Ware, sr., 55, of 502 Forsyth street, Barnesville, died Tuesday, July 18, 1972, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Ware was born in Hampton and had made his home in Barnesville since 1966 when he retired as Chief Petty Officer from the U. S. Navy after serving 20 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Joyce W. Ware of Barnesville; two daughters, Mrs. Judy Oliver of Claxon and Mrs. Susan Byars of Barnesville; two sons, William Michael Ware, Jr., and Gary Richard Ware, both of Barnesville; eight sisters, Mrs. George Turner, Mrs. Ray Wilson, Mrs. Buren Neal, Mrs. Bill Usery, all of Barnesville, Mrs. John Edge of Dallas, Tex., Mrs. Ed Creamer of Albany, Mrs. B. K. Whetstone and Mrs. Kermit Grogan, both of Atlanta; a brother, Reuben A. Ware of Savannah; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Brantley Harwell officiated (sic). Burial was in Lamar Memory Gardens with full military honors. Hubbard Funeral Home was in charge of plans. The News-Gaxette joins friends in expressing sympathy to the family.
