Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, May 13, 1898 Cook - Redding The following item of interest to the readers of the Journal is from the Barnesville Gazette: “Announcement has been made of the marriage on June 2, 1898, in the Methodist church, Barnesville, Ga., of Miss Annie Redding to Mr. Edgar L. Cook. This announcement is no surprise to the scores of friends of these two happy young people, as rumors to this effect have been in circulation for some time. Both of them are well known and very greatly esteemed throughout the community and state and they will receive very cordial congratulations from their friends every where.” Miss Redding is a daughter of Col. J.F. Redding, our present able representative in the legislature and candidate for senate.
