 Susan Vaughn Barber, 53, of Lakeland died June 2, 2008 at Lakeland Villa after 
a lengthy illness.
 Born in Lanier County to the late Horace and Ruby Jones Vaughn, she lived in 
the Lanier County and the Berrien County area all of her life. She worked at 
Chaparral Boats and was Free Holiness by faith. She was preceded in death by 
sister, Wanda Vaughn.
 Survivors include two sons, Rodney Michael Barber, Charles Anthony Barber, 
both of Nashville; sister, Annie V. May, Nashville, two brothers and one sister-
in-law, Ronnie and Sooty Vaughn, Tifton, Danny Vaughn, Lakeland; two 
grandchildren, Austin and Dustin Barber, Nashville; niece, Tonya Throneberry, 
Nashville; two nephews, David Exum, Nashville, Stephen Vaughn, Chula.
 Funeral services were held June 5 at 2 p.m. at New River Freewill Holiness 
Church with Brother James McMillan officiating.
 Interment was in New River Freewill Holiness Cemetery.
 Music Funeral Services of Lakeland was in charge of arrangements.
