She was born March 23, 1941 in Lanier County to the late William Hobert and Lily Weaver and Mimia Weaver Tyson. She grew up in the Teeterville community, graduated from Lanier County High School with honors in 1958. Joann was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was lovingly devoted to her family and Lord. Mother, when we think about Angles, we think about caring and kindness and a very special love. You were an angel without wings right here on earth. When we think about caring and kindness and a very special love. You were an angle without wings right here on earth. When we think about Angels, we think about the one we grew up with. You have always been our Angel, Mother, always looking for us, loving us, and making this life special in so many ways. There can never be a more special Mother than you. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dot E'Dalgo. Survivors include one daughter, Monica Edwards, Sanford; son, Johnny Michael Edwards, of Sanford; sister and brother in law, Mae and Wayne Tomberlin of Nashville; nieces and nephews, Kim and J.W. Dukes, III, Pam and Mike Stone, Scott Tomberlin, Billy and Sharon E'Dalgo, Leah and Joey Hutto. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sept. 10 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with the Rev. J.W. Dukes III officiating and burial following in Empire Cemetery in Lanier County.
