 LAKELAND -- Ava Nell Gaskins, 78, died on Sunday, April 11, 2004, at the South 
Georgia Medical Center. 

 Born on April 6, 1926 to Gordon Cribbs and Bessie Lightsey in Lanier County. 
She was a homemaker and member of Knight's Memorial Baptist Church and was the 
widow of Howard Gaskins who died in 1994.

 She is survived by one daughter, Navada Gaskins of Waynesboro; one son, Wayne 
Gaskins of Valdosta and one sister Dorothy McGill of Lakeland.

 A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2004 
with the Rev. Jimmy Spikes officiating. Burial will be at Burnt Church Cemetery 
in Lanier Co. Visitation will be today from 7-9 p.m.

 Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
