Born November 9, 1945, in Atlanta to the late Mable Rosemont Wilmont and H Harvey Gordon Kenney, Sr., he was a retired Chief Petty Officer United States N Navy with 20 years of service and was also a retired business owner. He was a r resident of Lakeland (Mud Creek) for the past 25 years. He was preceded in d death by a brother, Jeptha Terrell Kenney. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Kenney; brother, Gordon (Elverta) Kenney of Gallatin, TN; nine children, Robin (Tony) Broadway of Lakeland, Renick Carney of Everett, WA, Randy (Leanna) Carney of Hurley, MS, Richard Carney of Lakeland, Ronald Carney of Mobile, AL, Laurie Dunlap of Lakeland, Jane (Danny) Kelton of Valdosta, Bobby (Lori) Carney of Indianaplois, IN, Billy Kenney of Lakeland; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, whom he love very much, and se several loved nieces and nephews. At his request his six sons served as pallbearers. The wake was held from 6-8 p.m. on May 13 at Lovein Funeral Home. A graveside service with military honors was held May 14 at 10 a.m. at mud Cr Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Rowland officiating. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
