He was born May 22, 1947, in Lowndes County to the late Wendell and Charlotte Marion Carver and Lee Plair. He was the owner of Red’s Flower Shop of Lakeland. He is survived by his wife, Kitty Brogdon Plair of Lakeland; two daughters, Sissie (Todd) Tait of Hahira and Tena (Rodney) Walker of Nashville; son, Jimmy (Lisa) Plair of Ray City; two sisters, LaDonna Shackleford of Adel and Wilma Flowers of Nashville; step-father, Otha Lee of Alapaha; three grandchildren, Mallory Canary, Lauren Plair and Lee Plair. Funeral services were held June 18 at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Ray City with the Rev. John B. Carroll officiating. Judy Mullis played the processional and recessional. Songs were provided by the Berryhill Band. Interment followed at Beaver Dam Cemetery. Pallbearers were Keith Courson, Steve Rampey, Jimmy Bennefield, Dr. Benjamin Bailon Bailon, Lucious Carver, Jim Kelly. Lovein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
