 Vera Mae Watson, 84, of Lakeland died July 2, 2007 at her residence.
 Born December 30, 1922 in Berrien County to the late Bige and Ola Cook, she 
was a homemaker and assisted her husband, the late Billie J. Watson, on the 
family farm. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lakeland.
 Survivors include daughter and son in law, Joyce and Bobby Weldon of Lakeland; 
son and daughter in law, Darrell and Kim Watson of Lakeland; grandchildren, Pam 
Weldon, Tracie and Matt Schwab, Douglas Watson, Byron Walker; great-grandchild, 
Colby Schwab, all of Lakeland; caretaker, Mildred Cowart of Lakeland. She was 
preceded in death by a son, Douglas B. Watson.
 Funeral services were held July 4 at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of 
Lakeland.
 Interment was in Empire Cemetery.
 Music Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.
