Rhodes Nursing H Home in Marietta under Hospice care. She was born in Atlanta on May 17, 1936, to the late Wilbur and Mattie Hyer Nall. She graduated from Druid Hills High School in Decatur and attended the University of Georgia where she met her husband of 48 years, George Lee West. They lived in Statesboro from 1955 to 1972, where she was an active member of Pittman Park United Methodist Church, a UMW officer, PTA, Brownie and Girl Scout leader and Garden Club member. She enjoyed sewing, reading and playing Bridge. They later moved to Nashville where she worked at Berrien County Hospital and was a member of Nashville United Methodist Church. From 1974-1987, th they lived in Lakeland, where she worked at Louis Smith Memorial Hospital and wa was a member of Unity United Methodist Church. They then relocated to Valdosta, wh where she worked at South Georgia Medical Center for more than 15 years. They we were members of Park Avenue United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George W West, and brother, Blair Nall. Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, LeAnne and Rick Findley of Easly, SC, Sharon and Tim Tucker of Winston-Salem, NC, Beverly and Ross Stonecipher of Roswell and Patricia of Fernandina Beach, FL; seven grandchildren, Amy R. Smith, Ashley and Amanda Tucker, Brett and Haley Stonecipher and Matthew and Jordan Gamon; three great-grandchildren, Logan, Sa Sarah and Landry Smith. Funeral services were held Aug. 1 at 2 p.m. at Unity United Methodist Church i in Lakeland. Interment was in the church cemetery. Music Funeral Services of Lakeland was in charge of arrangements.
