He was born on February 13, 1956, in Lowndes County to Bobbie Kate (Johnson) Westberry Westberry and the late Johnnie Westberrry. After serving with the Army as a motor transport operator, he worked as a pulpwood logger. He then went on to become a proud National Certified Animal Control Officer for Tri County 911 for over five years. He was a member of Azalea Lodge #719. He will be truly missed by his family and many friends. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Robert Stephens, two brothers-in in-law, Rod Lindley and Carter Meeler, and a niece, Stacie Anne Lindley. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Terri Westberry of Stockton; son, John Robert Westberry, Jr. of Stockton, daughter and son-in-law, Shana and Chris Tillman of Moultrie, daughter, Nicole Minchew of Enigma, son, Johnathan Hill of Valdosta, daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Aaron Brogdon of Nashville; sister, Eleanor (Shug) Lindley of Conroe, TX, sister and brother-in-law, Linda and David Vickers of Sparks, sister and brother law, Linda and David Vickers of Sparks, sister and brother-in-law, Mary Beth and Doug Farmer of Naylor, sister, Pat Varnadore and Cathy Shepherd, both of Valdo Valdosta; 10 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held February 25 at 2 p.m. at Stockton Baptist Church with with burial at Stockton Cemetery. Music Funeral Services of Lakeland was in charge of arrangements.
