Jeremiah Cony and Sarah Higdon Coney, married 22 Feb 1812, Laurens Co.


this data is taken from photocopies of their Bible which I
made in 1971-72 .the Bible was then owned by Gladys
Cunningham Ward of Macon, Ga.

Under Marriages:

Jeremiah Cony intermarried with Sarah Higdon on the 22 day of
February 1812 in the fortthy year of his age, he being born
in the year 1772, and in nineteen year of her age, she being
born on the 7 day of June 1793.

UNDER BIRTHS:
James Emanuel Coney, son of Jeremiah Cony and Sarah his wife, was born 19 September anno domina 1813.
Mary A. Cony, their daugher was born Novernber 25th 1815.
Daniel Cony their son was born July 21st day 1817.
Charles Culpepper Coney their son was born October 20th 1819.
Jeremiah Cony their son was born the 17th day of February 1822.
Celia Ann Cony their Daughter was bornd June 14th day 1825
Joel Crofford Cony son of theirs was bornd April 12th day 1828.
Ezekiel William Cony. Son of Jeremiah & Sarah Coney was born Feb 15th 1831.

In the Bible were several notes including one showing
"Charles C. Coney, his multiplecation tables dated June 28th,
1833."

In 1818, Aquiller Coney and William Coney (brothers?) sold
land in Laurens County to William Albritton(Oct 1818 and
moved to Mississippi..Jeremiah sold land to his brother Joel
Coney, and moved to Pulaski County, Ga.  he was listed on
1840 Pulaski County census; On 1850 census, Sarah Coney,
widow is listed..
