M. Elizabeth Smith was born August 1871 in Georgia. 
  
Married Hardy Smith Spivey.

The 1910 Federal Census shows that Lizzie Spivey (age 39) living in Laurens 
County with her husband, Hardy S. Spivey (age 52) on a farm that they owned 
free and clear.  She had been married for 22 years, mother of 5 children and 
all the children were living; she could read and write, she had been born in 
Georgia and both her parents had been born in Georgia. Four of her children 
were living at home: Horace (age 17) single, attending school and working on 
the farm; Tom (age 15) single, attending school and working on the farm; Nellie 
(age 11) single and attending school; Otis (age 6) single and attending 
school.  Her oldest son, Arthur (age 20) was newly married, a farmer renting a 
farm next door. 

M. Elizabeth married Hardy Smith Spivey. Hardy Smith (parents Daniel Spivey and 
Alsie Bush) was born 1858 in Laurens County, GA. He died February 7, 1921 in 
Laurens County, GA.  I believe she is buried in an unmarked grave next to her 
husband, Hardy S. Spivey.

M. Elizabeth Smith and Hardy Smith Spivey had the following children:
 
 1. Horace Gould Spivey was born January 20, 1893 in Rockledge, GA. He died 
November 12, 1961 in Laurens County, GA. 
  
 2. Arthur F. Spivey was born September 1890 in Laurens County, GA. He died 
September 12, 1953 in Laurens County, GA. 
   
 3. Thomas Daniel Spivey was born October 3, 1895 in Laurens County, GA. He 
died May 31, 1957 in Laurens County, GA. 
   
 4. Nellie Spivey was born December 18, 1897 in Laurens County, GA. She died 
May 25, 1930 in Treutlen, GA. 
   
 5. Otis Benjamin Spivey was born November 21, 1904 in Laurens County, GA. He 
died February 11, 1965 in Unadilla, GA.   

Additional Comments:
I would like to find more information on M. Elizabeth Smith Spivey.  The date 
of her death and her parents names.
