Richard T. Spivey (parents Daniel Spivey and Alsie Bush) was born Abt. 1872 in 
Laurens County Georgia. He died January 29, 1949 in Laurens County, GA. 
  
The 1880 Federal Census for Laurens County Georgia shows:
Daniel Spivey (age 51) a farmer, born in Georgia, can read and write.
Alcey Spivey (age 51) keeping house, born in Georgia, can not read or write.  
Both of Alcey's parents were born in Georgia.
John J. Spivey (age 20), single, farm laborer, born in Georgia
Alez Spivey (age 18), single, at home, born in Georgia
Amos D. Spivey (age 16), single, farm laborer, born in Georgia, can not read or 
write.
Nancy Spivey (age 11), single, at home, born in Georgia
Richard Spivey (age 8), single, at home, born in Georgia
Next door to Daniel was his son, Augustus:
Augustus Spivey (age 25), married, a farmer, born in Georgia, could read and 
write.  His wife, Elvier (age 19), keeping house, born in Georgia, could not 
write.  Both of Elvier's parents were born in Georgia.

The 1910 Laurens County Census shows Richard T. (age 37); Nora (age 36); Ernest 
(age 15); Sallie M. (age 13); and Arsie K. (age 11).

The 1930 Federal Census for Laurens County Georgia shows Richard T. Spivey (age 
57) living on Madison Street in Dublin, GA.  He was widowed, renting  $22.50 
per month, born in Georgia, could read and write, worked as an operator at a 
lunch counter.

Richard T. married Nora. Nora was born Abt. 1874 in Georgia. 

Richard T. Spivey and Nora had the following children:
 
 1. Ernest Spivey was born Abt. 1895. 
   
 2. Sallie M. Spivey was born Abt. 1897. 
 
 3. Arsie K. Spivey.
