Located in Laurens County, Georgia, about 6 miles east of Dublin: 100 yds. north of GA29 about 1/2 mile east of junction with GA86. Said to be in corner of "Old Barfield" place. Located directly behind residence of Mr. Fountain [mid-1980's] on property said to belong to widow Fulgam of S.C. The area is approximately 1/2 acre. The marked graves, with the three exceptions listed "a-c", are in the northwest corner and are mainly members of the Warnock family. Eli Warnock. 1796--10 Oct. 1848 "age 52 yrs." 12. Henry J. Warnock son of Richard & Martha. 18 May 1879--3 May.... 13. [Richar]d Warnoc[k]...[R]ichard and Martha Warn[ock]...Born Aug. 12, 1863--Died June7, 1864. (Note: footstone reads "RW") There are 3 other tombstones in the cemetary south of the above section: a. Infant daughter of H. N. & E. E. Stewart. b&d 2 Oct. 1887 (the next two are not apparently in place) b. Caroline Graham dau. of George & Cathran Graham. 1862--22 Jan. 1879 c. ..... White. 1 Mar. 1879--14 Mar. 1885 #11 Eli Warnock and #8 Monica Warnock came to Laurens County from Burke Co. about 1830. Monica Warnock was a Gray, the daughter of #10 William Gray also of Burke County, who died in 1832 and reputedly was the first known burial in this cemetery. Eli Warnock and Monica Gray Warnock are the progenitors of most of the Warnocks of central south Georgia.
