WOODARD, JOHN

CO. A, 2ND GA MILITIA. Son of Green and Mary Woodard. May have 
married Zilpha Smith.  Enlisted on May 26, 1864.  Q-456. This 
caught my attention. There were several John Woodards in the 
county. In fact there still are. But the one that is the son of 
Green and Mary did not marry Zilpha Smith.  Zilpha Smith married 
John Rutherford Woodard, the son of John Woodard and Levicy 
Nobles.  This also ties in with some info that you have on Julia 
Woodard Whittle. 

Julia is the daughter of Blackshear Monroe Woodard and Jeromie 
Holiday Woodard. Blackshear Monroe is the son of John Lofton 
Woodard and Julia Clark Woodard John Lofton is the son of the 
previously named John Rutherford Woodard and Zilpha Smith 
Woodard. 

(NOTE:  Gosh they sure did like the name John in the family. In 
another place there is a question mark as to Ron and Tammy's 
child. She is Kelly Lowery, Born 9-28-95 (my greatgranddaughter))
