Willie Lee Barbee was born 3-30-1891 and died 6-20-1966 (GA DC# 019132) and is
buried at Northview Cemetery in Laurens County. His first wife, Jannie Bell
Carroll Barbee is buried at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Laurens  and
his second wife, Mary Ella Cochran Barbee is buried at Northview Cemetery.

 Funeral Rites For R. L. Barbee

Funeral services for Richard L. (Lee) Barbee, 75, who died unexpectedly at his
home yesterday afternoon, will be held at 11AM Wednesday at the Jefferson Street
Baptist Church. The Rev. George White and Dr. Rufus D. Hodges Sr. will officiate
and burial will be in Northview Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Fisher Barfoot, Harvey Zeigler, Carl Gettys Jr.,
Barney McKinnon, L. D. Woods, Charles Byrom, Oliver Laney, and John Williams.
The body will be placed in the church at 10AM Wednesday; Adams Funeral Home is
in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Barbee was a native of Wilkinson County, son of the late James Richard and
Georgia Ann Snow Barbee. He had lived in Dublin for the past 45 years. where he
was a contractor and builder and was a member of Jefferson Street Baptist
Church. He was married to the late Mary Ella Cochran Barbee.
Surviving are six sons, Willie Lee Barbee, Clyde Barbee, Rufus Barbee, and
George Barbee, all of Dublin, Grady Barbee of Jacksonville, Fla. and Steve
Barbee of Milledgeville; one daughter, Mrs. Mett C. Dominy of Dublin; 8
grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.
