              Mr. Beacham Rites 23rd

Final rites will be held at the Rockledge Methodist Church at 3 o'clock 
Wednesday afternoon for Hershel Braxton Beacham, 66, life long resident of 
Rockledge Route one who died early this morning in a Dublin hospital after 
being ill two days.
The Rev. Fred Carter of Brewton and the Rev. Irvin Flanders of Minter will 
officiate and burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery with Sammons Funeral Home 
of Soperton directing.
Pallbearers will be Robert Beacham, Grady Whitehead, N. B. Graham, Earl Wilkes, 
Lewis McClendon, and Lloyd Rogers.
Mr. Beacham was a member of the Methodist Church and he was married to Mobie 
Foskey who died in 1955. He is survived by two sons, Otis and Rowe of 
Rockledge; four sisters, Mrs. W. B. Ward of Dublin, Mrs. John Wynn of 
Rockledge, Mrs. Shelly Powell of Augusta, and daughter Mrs. Lois Odell, 
Savannah; two brothers, Talmadge Beacham of Brooksville, Fla. and Willis 
Beacham of New York City. 


Additional Comments:
Hershel Braxton Beacham was born 7-28-1892 and died 1-22-1957 (GA DC # 03841) 
and is buried at Mount Zion Cemetery in Rockledge in Laurens County, Georgia. 
His wife, Mobe "Mobie" Foskey Beacham, is also buried there.
