                         Mr. Zenus L. A. Bowles
 DUDLEY---Mr. Zenus L. A. Bowles, 71, died unexpectedly last Wednesday 
afternoon in a Dublin hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Friday at 
the Dudley Baptist Church with Rev. Buford Raffield and Rev. W. R. Weeks 
officiating. Burial will be in Dublin Memorial Gardens.
 Born and reared in Jefferson County, Mr. Bowles was the son of the late Mr. 
and Mrs. Jesse J. Bowles and had made his home in Laurens County for 64 years. 
He was a retired overseer for Chappel-Hogan farms and a member of the Dudley 
Baptist Church.
 Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Minnie Lou Davis Bowles of Dudley; one son, 
Atys C. Bowles of Dublin; one daughter, Mrs. Wallace C. Dominy of Dudley; four 
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other 
relatives.
 Pallbearers will be John Chappell, Roy Chappell, Doyle Baggett, Charles 
Baggett, Doyle Dixon, Jerry Miller, Delano Butler, and U. J. Hogan.
 The family will be at the Bowles home in Dudley.
 Adams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Zenus was born 5 Aug 1905. His first wife was Adell Silas Bowles. Georgia 
death certificate #033620.
