Bryant Services for Irene Dillard Bryant, 70 of Route 1 Dexter, were held at 2:30pm Sunday at Buckhorn United Methodist Church. The Rev. John W. Powell officiated and burial was in the church cemetery. A native of Bleckley County, Mrs. Bryant was the daughter of the late Reuben Ira and Eula Frances Dillard. She lived in Laurens County most of her life, was a former employee of the L&H Shirt Company in Cochran, retired owner of Dexter Cafe and a member of Buckhorn United Methodist Church. Mrs. Bryant died Saturday morning at her residence after an extended illness. Survivors include her husband, John Morris Bryant of Dexter; a daughter, Judy Bryant Brack of Dexter; two sons, Don T. Bryant and Paul G. Bryant, both of Dexter; two brothers, Robert W. Dillard of Cochran and R. Howard Dillard of Athens; three sisters, Helen Martin of Dudley, Pauline Mullis of Cochran and Cornelia Jones of Lawrenceville; and five grandchildren.
