             Throng Pays Tribute As Mr. J. A. Burch Is Buried In Laurens
 DUBLIN, Ga., March 12----One of the largest attended funerals in this county 
in a long while was that of Mr. J. A. Burch, at Cadwell, about 20 miles from 
Dublin, Saturday.
 Mr. Burch died Thursday, but the funeral was delayed until Saturday. Services 
were conducted by Rev. A. V. Pickron of Florida and interment was in the 
cemetery at Cadwell. He was ill with pneumonia for about eight days.
 In all of the county, no more genuinely beloved citizen could be found than 
Mr. Burch. He was 49 years of age, in the prime of his powers,  and a business 
man of high standing. He was President of the Cadwell Banking Company, which 
bank he helped to organize. A rather sad coincidence came with his death. 
While he lay dying Thursday, the funeral of Mr. H. R. Beddingfield, vice 
president of the bank, was in progress across the street from the Burch home.
 Besides being a business man, Mr. Burch was a prominent laymen in the Baptist 
Church. He leaves a wife and three children, two brothers, who include J. E. 
Burch of Dublin, county attormey, and H. C. Burch of Cadwell, and several 
sisters. He was a member of an old and prominent family in Laurens, and one of 
the most valuable citizens in the county. He was a member of the Masons and 
the Shriners.

James was born 9-17-1878 to John Burch and Missouri Ann Clements Burch. 
Georgia death certificate #7596. His wife was Nida Lee Burch.
