Burch, former Eastman merchant, died in Alamo on December 26 at the age of 76 years. Final rites were conducted on Sunday, December 28, in the chapel of Stokes- Southerland Funeral Home, with Rev. Max O'Neal officiating. Mr. Burch, a native of Laurens County, had made his home in Dodge most of his life. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Serving as pallbearers were Freeman Graham, Albert Harrell, T. C. Waite, Frank Walker, Woodrow Clark, and Edward West. Mrs. Malone Pace rendered sacred organ selections. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Fostine O'Dell, of Pasadena, California; a son, Quinton Burch of Miami, Florida; a sister, Miss Ella Burch, of Alamo; a brother, L. C. Burch of McRae; three grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. Burial was in the Cadwell Cemetery. Additional Comments: Alfred was born 1-10-1882 to Alfred Littleberry Burch II and Nancy Elizabeth Gay Burch. Georgia death certificate #32645. His first wife was Nona Emaline Lee who is buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Bleckley County.
