The Eastman Times-Journal 6-15-1894
                              A GOOD MAN GONE.
Mr. Alfred Burch, father of Mr. M. L. Burch and grandfather of Col Harlow 
Burch, two of Eastman's most prominent and highly respected citizens, died at 
his home in Laurens county on the 6th of June, instant.  The deceased had 
reached the ripe old age of eighty-three years and leaves a large respected 
posterity all of whom are honored and prosperous citizens of Dodge and Laurens 
counties, with whom the Times-Journal condoles in their sore bereavement.
