                               Marion Butler
 DUBLIN--- Services for Marion Eugene Butler will be at 11am Monday in 
Springdale Baptist Church with burial in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Butler, 72, 
died Friday, Sept. 5, 1997, in a local hospital. Born in Jeff Davis County, he 
was the son of the late William Elijah Butler and Jo Anna Rowland Butler. He 
was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater.
 Survivors include his wife, Mary G. Butler of Dublin; sons, Kim Butler of 
Dayton, Ohio and Dana Butler of Dublin; brothers and sisters, Ottis Butler of 
Byron, Edsel Butler of Columbus, Hortense B. Edge of Macon, and Lula B. Screws 
of Leesburg; two grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.
 The family will receive friends from 7 to 9pm Sunday in Adams Funeral Home 
and may be contacted at the Butler residence in Dublin. The body will be 
placed in the church one hour before the service.
