W. BUSH, LEADER HERE, PASSED TODAY William Washington Bush, 84, prominent Dublin, resident. masonic leader and former business man, died unexpectedly at 1:15 O'clock this morning at his home, 205 West Gaines Street. Mr. Bush was a native of North Carolina, coming to Dublin 50 years ago after living in Florida and Dodge County, Georgia. His first business connection here was with a railroad concern. He later entered the telephone business, and then owned extensive naval stores interests. He engaged in the fertilizer business for many years with the Middle Georgia Fertilizer Company and the firm of Kellum-Bush, and acquired considerable real estate holdings in the downtown area. He was a director of the First national Bank from its organization. He later retired from the fertilize business and only recently disposed of his realty holdings and at the time of his death was engaged in supervising his farming interests. Mr. Bush was the oldest living Past master of Laurens Lodge No. 75, F. & AM serving as Worshipful master in 1892: the oldest living Past High Priest of Harmony Chapter No. 56, Royal Arch Masons, and the oldest living Past Commander of Olivet Commandery No. 27, Knights Templar, of which he was a charter member and its second Commander. He was also a member of Yaarab Temple, Nobles of the mystic Shrine, of Atlanta, and a member of its One Hundred Club, composed of he 100 oldest members of the Temple. Mr. Bush's wife the former Miss Pickett Le Seiur (Lesesne), died a number of years ago. Surviving are four sons, Charles and George H. Bush of Dublin, Capt. James L. Bush of the U. S. Army, stationed at St. Louis, Mo., and Wison W. Bush of Childerburg, Alabama.: two daughters Mrs. Foy Clark of Dublin and Mrs. E. D.
