                             Mrs. Couey
 Services for Evelyn Lawrence Couey, 72, of Route 4 Dublin, will be held at 
11am Saturday at Bethsaida Baptist Church. The Rev. Al Daniell will officiate 
and burial will be in Dublin Memorial Gardens.
 A native of Montgomery County, Mrs. Couey was the daughter of the late Walter 
Daniel and Udell Foskey Lawrence and the wife of the late Anderson Monroe 
Couey. She was a member of Bethsaida Baptist Church.
 Mrs. Couey died early this morning in a local hospital.
 Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Alfidi of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sons, 
Ira Daniel Couey of Miami, Fla. and Anderson Lamar Couey of Dalton; four 
sisters, Leona Tapley, Ethel O'Connor, and Louis McCullough, all of Mount 
Vernon and Mrs. Vitus Baker of Douglas; and two brothers, Mack Lawrence of 
Mount Vernon and Ezra Lawrence of Uvalda.
 The body will lie in state at Townsend Funeral Home until 10am Saturday when 
it will be placed in the church.
 The family will receive friends from 7:30-9 o'clock Friday night at the 
funeral home.
