                           Mrs. Davis
 Mrs. Prentice Alton Davis, 67 of Dexter, died Wednesday. Services will be held 
at 2pm Saturday at the Buckhorn United Methodist Church with burial in the 
church cemetery. The Rev. Buford Raffield will officiate.
 A native of Dodge County, Mrs. Davis lived most of her life in Laurens County. 
Married to the late Prentice Alton Davis, she was the former Mattie Viola 
Rowland. Her parents were the late Homer Rowland and Gertrude Fennell Rowland.
 Survivors include a son, R. A. "Bob" Davis of Dexter; three grandchildren; a 
brother, Herman Rowland of Macon; a sister, Wylene Mann of Macon; and several 
other relatives.
 Adams Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Additional Comments:
Mattie was born 17 Oct 1913.
