(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net October 28, 2011, 3:27 pm The Dublin Courier Herald 8-8-1992 Homer Carol Dominy Services for Homer Carol Dominy, 58, of Route 10 Dublin, will be held at 10:30am Monday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. The Rev. W. L. Tipton and the Rev. Calvin Bobo will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery near Cadwell. A lifelong resident of Laurens County, Mr. Dominy was the son of the late John Jackson and Clarine Scarborough Dominy, a former owner and operator of Dominy Wrecker Service and Gulf Station of Dublin, a Mason and member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He died Friday in an Augusta hospital. Survivors include his wife, Ann Passmore Dominy; a daughter, Denise Dominy; a son, Greg Dominy; a brother, Doyle Dominy, all of Dublin; a sister, Alice D. Burch of Jacksonville, Fla.; a grandson, Chris Dominy and a granddaughter, Melissa Dominy, both of Dublin. Pallbearers are Johnny B. Hall. Herman Meler, Glenn Fordham, Glenn Dominy, Edward Dominy, and Ben Warren. Post 20 of the Georgia State Patrol and the Dublin Police Department will serve as honorary escort. The family will be at the home of Denise Dominy, Pine Hill Road and will receive friends from 1:30-9pm Sunday at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Additional Comments: Homer was born 5 Nov 1933.
