(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net April 1, 2009, 3:03 pm The Dublin Courier Herald 8-28-1968 Front Page Tillman Foskey Funeral Rites Set Thursday Funeral services for Tillman Foskey, of Dublin Route 6, will be held Thursday afternoon at four o'clock at Townsend Chapel on Gaines Street with the Rev. James H. Frost and the Rev. Earl Warnock officiating. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery and Townsend Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will include Hugh Wood, B. J. Register, Emory Perry, Charles Warnock, Bill Warnock, Ed Hanson, Garnet Woods, Eugene Foskey, Judge W. H. White, Buddy Wyatt, Dr. John A. Bell Jr., Barron Smith, E. B. Warnock, Ervin Earnock, Alfred Warnock, Dr. J. J. Skinner, Preston Joiner, and C. Brantley New. A life-long resident of Laurens County, Mr. Foskey was the son of the late Ira Foskey and the late Clyde Dennen Foskey. He was a retired farmer and member of the Baptist denomination. He died this morning in a local hospital after an extended illness. Mr. Foskey is survived by his wife, the former Miss Ruby Jones of Dublin; four sons, Bill Foskey, Curtis Foskey, Donald Foskey, and Larry Foskey, all of Dublin; three daughters, Mrs. Ira Hall of Lawrenceville, Mrs. Lois Harden and Mrs. Grace Alligood, both of Dublin; and 15 grandchildren. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Harden, 604 Hudson Drive. Additional Comments: Tillman was born 9-7-1901.
