(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net April 23, 2009, 11:51 am The Dublin Courier Herald 2-28-1978 Charlie Foskey Charlie Lonzie Foskey, 77, Route 6 Dublin, died this morning in a local nursing home after an extended illness. Funeral servives will be held Wednesday at 11:00am at the Union Baptist Church with Rev. Clinton Warnock officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A life long resident of Laurens County, Mr. Foskey was the son of the late Thomas Paul Foskey and the late Mollie Foskey of Laurens County. He was a member of Silverleaf Primitive Baptist Church, a retired farmer, and a member of Laurens Lodge No. 75, F&AM. Survivors are his wife, Miss Lizzie Wood Foskey, Dublin; a foster son, Hugh Wood, East Dublin; and a sister, Mrs. Dallie Bush, Dublin. Members of Laurens Lodge No. 75 will serve as active pallbearers and will conduct Masonic rites at the graveside. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 7:30 until 9:00pm and will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Wood at 206 Poplar Street, East Dublin.
