                      Allie Anges Mimbs Garnto
Allie Agnes Mimbs Garnto, 90, of Brunswick died Sunday, October 20, 2002.  
Mrs. Garnto was a native of Laurens County and was a daughter of the late 
Alfred L. and Cornelia Woods Mimbs. She was married to the late Lewis E. 
Garnto Sr. She was retired from Brunswick Manufacturing Co. and was a 
Baptist.  Survivors include two sons, Billy Garnto of Brunswick and Lewis 
Edison Garnto Jr. of Athens; a daughter, Louise McIntyre of Brunswick; 11 
grandchildren, Barbara Abbott, Janice Garnto, Donnie Kitchen, Debbie Jones, 
Lynda Garnto, William Garnto, Coral Garnto, Gregory Garnto, James McIntyre, 
Danny McIntyre Sr. and Cathy Rogers; 31 great-grandchildren; and 32 great-
great-grandchildren.  Services will be conducted in the chapel of Sammons 
Funeral Home in Soperton at 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon, Oct. 24 with the Rev. 
Hugh Spivey officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery, Laurens 
County.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the 
funeral home.
