                                Alma H. Gay
 MACON, Ga.---- Alma Hanson Gay, 80, died Saturday in a Mount Pleasant nursing 
home. The funeral will be at 2pm today in Townsend Brothers Funeral Home of 
Dublin, Ga. Burial will be in Northview Cemetery.
 Mrs. Gay was born in Laurens County, Ga., a daughter of Stephen Hanson and 
Leona Hanson. She was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church in Macon. She was 
the widow of Norman H. Gay. 
 Surviving are a daughter, Shirley Avery of Charleston; three brothers, Ezra 
Hanson and Buddy Hanson, both of Soperton, Ga. and Albert Hanson of Dublin, 
Ga.; a sister, Ruby Grimes of Clearwater, Ga. and five grandchildren.

Additional Comments:
Alma was born 2 Sep 1912 to Stephen David "Steve" Hanson and Leona 
Naomi "Onnie" Stewart Hanson. Her first husband, John A. Amerson, is buried at 
Carter's Chapel Church Cemetery. Her second husband, Norman H. "Pete" Gay is 
also buried at Northview Cemetery.
