Glisson, 88, of Route 1 Cadwell, were scheduled for 2pm today at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Lee officiating and burial in the church cemetery. A native of Bleckley County, Mrs. Glisson was the daughter of the late Jim and Barbara Williams Thompson, and the wife of the late Dennis Glisson. She lived in Laurens County most of her life and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Glisson died Monday night at a Dublin hospital after a brief illness. Survivors include two daughters, Lavonia G. Evans of Cadwell and Jewell G. Baggett of Orange Park, Fla.; a son, J. R. Glisson of Cadwell; a sister, Mrs. W. T. Sapp of Cadwell; a brother, A. L. Thompson of Cadwell; 8 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Joe Williams, Earl Sapp, Charles Thompson, Sam Thompson, Alfred Bryant, and Gary Myer. Millard Evans, Kennon Smith, Ollis Watson, Dan Rowe, Ray Christian, Larry Brewer, Jack Thompson, and Buddy Brewer will serve as honorary escort. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. Clyde Evans in Cadwell. Adams Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Maude was born 10-27-1898.
